A box office record breaking Italian movie.

Synopsis:
This elegant drama connects two families in the wealthy Milano-region and starts off with a crime: a cyclist is hit and killed by a speeding car one dark winter’s night. The car belongs to Massimiliano, son of the rich finance acrobat Giovanni Bernaschi. But who was in the driver’s seat that fatal night? The story unfolds from three different perspectives: Dino, a common realtor who tries to climb society’s ladder by investing in Giovannis hedge fund; Giovanni’s trophy wife Carla, who dreams of restoring an old theatre; and Serena, Dino’s daughter, who was with Massimiliano the night of the murder. Using the turmoil of the 2008 financial crisis as a backdrop, HUMAN CAPITAL is a story of greed, cynicism and self-deception. Valeria Bruni Tedeschi is outstanding as the naive and desperate Carla, and the plot keeps twisting and turning until the very last frame.
